I was just thinking, that perhaps one of the most advantageous features of the PSTN is it's security :-). It is not possible to do a DOS attack (or other malicious activities) on a POTS line, unlike a IPPhone. (Or are all these issues resolved.)
For example is it possible for me to disrupt an existing conversation, but flooding an existing IP phone with requests? Ow! :-(. Or is this and others trivial scenarios?
Comments?
Does anyone know how I can create an HTML page from an iCal calendar?
Thanks
Hello everyone,
I need your input for this:
Say a Network Marketing company needs to provide a directory service for all its agents. This directory would be accessible by calling a toll free number. On calling this number, the end user would punch in the agents name such as MANN by pressing 6626.
Now this service is provided by PBXes, but if you could not afford a PBX, what off the shelf software could you use.
I believe someone said, somewhere on these pages, that being a linecook was easy but a chef difficult.
Well this article from the Washington Post is an interesting read.
... scurrying with sizzling hot pans from the stove to the counter and back.
But neither the head chef -- whose name is on the menu -- nor his second in command, the sous chef, will be counted among them.
These are the line cooks. When you go out to eat, these are the people who actually cook your food.
