Heading to Stuttgart, 9 hour layover at Heathrow tips (don't forget IOS Van)

So, I'm back from a short roadtrip vacation with Kate, and I'm just about to go to the airport to fly to Stuttgart. Only it turns out I have a 9hr layover in Heathrow tomorrow, starting 11am London time. Any tips on what do with roughly 6 hours of free time?

Also: don't forget about the Identity Open Space event here in Vancouver (check the wiki for more info), happening next week on July 20th and 21st. I am unfortunately missing it, but Colin Brumelle is attending on my behalf.

Heathrow Sucks--My Only Advice Is...

From this post:

"Here’s a travel tip we discovered this morning. There’s a Hilton that is about 5 minutes walk from Terminal 4 at Heathrow. While the rates for day rooms there are exorbitant, you can use their gym for a 10 pound fee. This means that you can have a nice shower (towels and beauty products provided), wash the last flight off, and stave off deep-veined thrombosis with a light workout. If you’ve brought your bathing suit, there’s a pool as well. Plus, there’s WiFi in their lobby. I feel almost human."

Awesome

Thanks guys. And shouldn't this be on Geeky Traveller, too?

I'm over in Terminal 1/2, so getting to Terminal 4 would be a bit of a trek. I've already checked out a Vodafone booth and a Dixon's for cellphone pricing. The N80 looks *really* nice (basically the N70 with WiFi)...but it's £468, or about $1000CDN.

I'm going so far as contemplating a movie or gaming device purchase...there's an HMV across from where I'm typing this. I suspect this blog will get some updates while I'm sitting here.
