Greg forwarded me this article from the New York Post, about a first-time film maker that made a documentary on the effects of eating at McDonald's. He ate 3 meals a day there for 30 days:
Within a few days of beginning his drive-through diet, Spurlock, 33, was vomiting out the window of his car, and doctors who examined him were shocked at how rapidly Spurlock's entire body deteriorated.
I made a decision (6 years ago this August) to never eat at McDonald's ever again. After eating a meal there, I felt ill shortly afterwards, just like I always did whenever I ate there. I put 2 and 2 together, and decided to never go back.
Fast food in general causes me problems. I haven't exactly identified it, since I'll always choose a family restaurant, cafe, or other non-chain if it all available. The occasional shwarma or Subway sandwich are OK on the road, and even Tim Horton's sandwiches and soups are preferable to any of the burger-and-fry places.
