First it was on. Then it was off, because the river was too high (apparently, 10ft above normal levels). Then, it looked like a lack of rain had brought the river back to normal levels. Then Troy got a job...so we shifted everything a day, and made it. The trip took place over the Labour Day weekend, August 30th to September 1st, 2003.
The Restigouche River is in New Brunswick, not far from the Quebec border. In fact, in many parts, the river actually is the border, with New Brunswick on one side, and Quebec on the other.
Canoes and other equipment were rented from Arpin Canoe.
