Everybody has a great idea now and again, but doesn't always have the skills to implement it. Some of these ideas are worth protecting (in case you want the chance to do something about it yourself) while others deserve to be let free, hopefully to be implemented by someone with the time/energy/knowledge available.
And yes, I know about LazyWeb. A good place to advertise your bright idea.

The Global Ideas Bank is probably the idea bank that's been around the longest. It focuses on ideas for social good / of social benefit....and has almost 5000 online to browse, discuss, add to and take forward.
