Remote Desktop Connection for Mac OS X

If you want to connect to a Windows machine (XP Professional or any of the "Server" products), you can actually use Microsoft's own remote desktop connection.

OS X only, but great if you don't want to clutter your machine with Office, etc. -- just use your local network to have a window open to your Windows box.

Lloyd originally pointed this out to me, and they had pulled the download at some point, but it's up now.

cost $$ of RDC?

I went to the website and cannot seem to get beyond the marketing speal. What does it cost?

No cost

It doesn't cost anything. It's a free download. Remember -- you sent it to me!

Microsoft RDC is Citrix-based?

Sorry, I meant to reply to GSoo...but maybe based on your response I am getting it. Microsoft RDC is Citrix-based?

The Citrix website is a marketeer's crowning achievement, and completely nonsensical to me.

XP

I use RDC (Citrix-based) XP-to-XP all the time. It's better than VNC or TightVNC. It's transparent enough that sometimes you lose track of whether you're on local or remote desktop. Sice Citrix is available for many platforms, RDC may become prevelant.
