Seems like everywhere I look there are more project/task/document management tools. I mentioned this briefly with the release of TasksPro, and then it seemed to keep coming up in conversation.
Function Point was pointed out by Troy Angrignon (blog coming soon!). I was all prepared to give scathing commentary, but the app looks pretty slick and integrates a lot of different functions.
In discussing good web application design firms, I remembered SilverOrange -- they won an award for best Intranet in 2001, then won again in 2003 for their redesign. I'm always impressed by companies that aren't afraid to re-invent themselves and their best practices.
I may have a chance to do an overview of this space again in the near future. If anyone has suggestions for either low-cost hosted or open source apps in this space, post a comment.

Project Management tools
I have been using eStudio for all my project management needs since 2000. My background is as a video producer, computer animator and I work with clients all over the world. The product gives me sophisticated PM tools, scheduling calendar, good contact software, folder protected file sharing for a low price point.
eStudio also has the ability to create client "extranets" so that each of my clients has no knowledge of the other client. This is also good since I work with various freelancers who always have big egos.

Nice blog BTW
Good cheap or open source task/project management software
I've been looking for good open source task/project management software like TasksPro. Everything I've been finding has horrible interface design (Bugzilla, RT, etc.). Any good suggestions?
If there aren't any good open source products, then how about a very affordable (read cheap) solution.

Aside from that, it's been a while since I updated it, but check the Project Management section of PHP Applications. I've enjoyed working with PHPCollab in the past, but community development seems to have slowed.
Good luck, and let us know what you pick.
