VisualStreet.NET is a project to capture information about your community.

Entries about "places" (which in urban areas map nicely to street addresses) are entered into the website by members. These places could be anything from a local park to the restaurant, coffee shop, or dry cleaner around the corner.

Pictures, opening hours, phone numbers, even a map to the location. But the most valuable part is the comments. Each place can have comments added to it by anyone. Maybe you want to talk about the great service you had from someone at the grocery store. Maybe you want to add an entry about your rental apartment and say that the pipes always leak. The possibilities are endless. And, you'll be able to subscribe to an RSS feed of each place, to keep up to date with what people are saying.
