This is the extended description of the OVH Bare Metal section of BringYourOwn.Computer.

I am working on a full platform / infra stack based on Proxmox.

Partially this is for my own use, to have a development and hosting environment for a few things that are purely mine - my personal website https://bmannconsulting.com being one of them.

It’s also research for SharedComputer.Network and Commons Computer.

For Commons Computer in particular it is about moving off of Cloudron.

Aside: this may just be a blog post.

The stack so far

  • Proxmox
  • Ansible for keeping runbooks and reproducibility
  • Tailscale, so a number of
  • Garage for S3
  • OVH object storage for offsite backup
  • Caddy as reverse proxy into proxmox containers with private IP addresses
  • AIP for login with atproto to OIDC
