Re-activate Atproto Account
When you move an atproto account between PDS hosts, sometimes your account will show as de-activated by relays and/or appviews.
First, use Debug Hose Cam to check the status of your account.
Nick Gerakines gave me some help on how to use his atproto-crates PDS to basically just emit an event that should notify that the account is active / activated:
Call com.atproto.server.activateAccount as that account (logged-in session, empty POST). Crates allows activating an already-active account, and it sends a fresh #account active=true plus a #sync for the repo head. com.atproto.identity.refreshIdentity is worth running too, to send an #identity event. If the AppView still says deactivated after a few minutes, it’s on Bluesky’s side.
Here are the commands to run with goat:
goat account login -u example.com -p PASSWORD
goat account activate
goat xrpc procedure @pds com.atproto.identity.refreshIdentity did=YOUR_DID identifier=YOUR_DID
